By late 2020, the pandemic had been raging for half a year with no end or vaccine yet in sight. Movie theaters had been shuttered indefinitely and Disney Films across all brands -- Disney, Pixar, Marvel and LucasFilm -- that had been slated for release previously were shelved until further notice.
The Disney+ Product Design team was tasked with coming up with a vehicle to deliver the theater experience to subscribers in the safety of their homes so they could see these eagerly awaited films.
MY ROLE: Project Manager, Product Design. Tasked with managing a team of designers including UX, UI, Illustration and motion. We developed Premier Access branding as a whole as well as the unique branding for each Premier Access Title (used throughout the platform and by the studios marketing team), as well as purchasing flows, upgrade flows and how to integrate it with the GroupWatch experience.
